NEXTDC Merlot 2 (M2) is the biggest Tier IV-certified Data Centre in Australia, providing 60 megawatts of critical IT infrastructure to businesses and government agencies.

The state-of-the-art facility, built in six different stages by construction partner Kapitol Group, is strategically located near Melbourne Airport for easy access to major transportation and communication networks. It has been designed and certified to Uptime Institute Tier IV fault tolerant requirements.

A major hub for workplace collaboration and innovation, the 16,000m² Data Centre features an auditorium, boardroom, training rooms and a range of open-plan spaces to enhance staff performance and productivity.

ADP Consulting has been engaged by Kapitol Group to provide specialist services on Stage 6 of the project including Fire Protection, Hydraulics, Vertical Transportation, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Stage 6 of the project is targeting a minimum 5-star NABERS rating and maximum 5.5-star energy efficiency rating. Currently under construction,  the project is set for completion in late 2024.
